Research at the Department of French, Italian and Classical Languages covers a number of profile areas, from linguistics with second language acquisition in French and Italian, medieval Latin and the translation of Aristotle, to literary studies including North African literature in French, the Italian “hybrid novel”, humour in Aristophanes and Saint Birgitta’s Reuelaciones.
In addition a large number of interdisciplinary research projects are carried out in co-operation with other departments.
